This is such a simple delicious sauce with lots of butter, garlic, tomatoes and balsamic vinegar.
Ingredients
- 1 pound penne pasta
- 1 28 ounce can of San Marzano whole tomatoes
- 1 stick butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup Traditional Aged Dark Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- parmesan for serving
Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta to al dente.

While the pasta cooks make the sauce. Melt the butter in a large deep skillet. Add the garlic and Italian seasoning. Cook for 2 minutes. Add the balsamic vinegar and tomatoes. Break apart the tomatoes. Season with salt and simmer for 15 minutes.

When the pasta is cooked add a splash of pasta water to the sauce. Drain the pasta and toss with the sauce.
