This is such a simple delicious sauce with lots of butter, garlic, tomatoes and balsamic vinegar.
Ingredients

1 pound penne pasta

1 28 ounce can of San Marzano whole tomatoes

1 stick butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- parmesan for serving
Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the penne pasta to al dente.

While the pasta cooks make the sauce. Melt the butter in a large deep skillet. Add the garlic, thyme, basil and red pepper flakes. Cook for 2 minutes. Add the balsamic vinegar and tomatoes. Break apart the tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper and simmer for 15 minutes.

When the pasta is cooked add a splash of pasta water to the sauce then drain and toss the penne with the sauce.
Takes 20 minutes
