One pot and 15 minutes to creamy dreamy mac & cheese. This recipe is so simple, but it took me a long time to get it right. The macaroni is cooked in milk and loaded with cheddar cheese, butter and mascarpone.
Ingredients

1 pound elbow macaroni

2 cups milk

1 cup cheddar, shredded

1/4 cup mascarpone

1/2 stick butter

1 teaspoon garlic salt

1 teaspoon mustard powder

2 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon pepper
Instructions

In a large pot add milk, 2 cups of water, macaroni, garlic salt, mustard, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, stirring often.

Once tender and the milk is mostly absorbed, stir in the cheddar, mascarpone and butter and stir until smooth. Add more milk to achieve desired consistency.
