Baked Spaghetti - Olive Branch Oil & Spice

Baked Spaghetti

This is a super comforting meal of spaghetti with a delicious meaty ragu baked with lots of cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, grated
  • 2 tablespoons Nocellara del Belice olive oil 
  • 3 cloves garlic, grated
  • 2 tablespoons Spaghetti Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Bring a large salted pot of water to a bowl and cook pasta to al dente. 
  3. While the pasta cooks make the sauce by heating olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, tomato paste, garlic and spaghetti seasoning and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the ground beef and cook until browned through about 8 to 10 minutes. Add the tomatoes, salt, pepper and a 1/4 can of water. Simmer for 20 minutes. 
  5. When the spaghetti is cook to al dente, drain and toss with the pasta sauce. 
  6. Transfer the spaghetti to a baking dish and top with parmesan and mozzarella cheese. 
  7. Bake for 30 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly. 

Serves 4-6
