Beef Chili

Classic beef chili with ground beef, bacon, chiles, and beans. This recipe feeds a crowd and is perfect for game day!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 5 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 jalapenos, chopped
  • 2 cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cans pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  • 3 tablespoons Chile Con Carne
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup Traditional Aged Dark Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 cups beef stock
  • Cheddar cheese and cilantro for serving

Instructions

  1. Add bacon to a large pot and cook until just crisp. Add the ground beef and saute until browned.
  2. Once the beef is browned, add the onion, garlic, jalapenos, tomato paste, balsamic vinegar, chile con carne, salt and pepper. Saute for 5 minutes until the onion is soft.
  3. Add the beans, tomatoes, and beef stock.  Simmer for 30 minutes. 
  4. Serve with cheddar and cilantro

Takes 45 minutes

Serves 6-8
