These Filipino inspired pork ribs are super delicious and easy to make.
Ingredients
- 1 rack spare ribs, silver skin removed and cut into individual ribs
- 2 shallots, thinly sliced
- 6 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons green onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 3 bay leaves
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Rice for serving
Instructions
- Mix the shallots, garlic, vinegar, soy sauce, bay leaves, brown sugar, and pepper together. Add the ribs to the large food storage bag and pour the mixture over the ribs. Marinade for an hour (or up to overnight).
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Transfer the ribs and marinade to a large pot, cover and braise in the oven for an hour and 30 minutes until the ribs are tender.
- Remove the pot from the oven and place on the stove over medium high heat. Uncover and cook for about 10 minutes until the sauce is slightly thickened.
- Serve the ribs over rice and top with extra sauce and green onion.
