Creamy Tomato Shrimp Pasta - Olive Branch Oil & Spice

Shrimp and pasta with a fresh creamy, spicy tomato sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound pasta
  • 1 tablespoon Bruschetta Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons Basil Olive Oil
  • 3 roma tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons calabrian chiles (optional)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped basil and parsley
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

 Instructions

  1. Bring a large salted pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta to al dente.
  2. Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel and season with the bruschetta seasoning.
  3. Heat the butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for about 1 minute per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add the onions and salt to the skillet and saute for about 5 minutes. Add the white wine, calabrian chile and tomatoes. Saute for about 5 minutes until the tomatoes break down and the wine is reduced.
  5. Stir in the cream and simmer for 2 minutes until slightly thickened. Stir in the parmesan cheese. Once the pasta is cooked, add 1/4 cup of pasta water to the sauce.  Add the pasta and shrimp to the sauce and toss to coat. Top with fresh herbs.
