Shrimp and pasta with a fresh creamy, spicy tomato sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound pasta
- 1 tablespoon Bruschetta Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons Basil Olive Oil
- 3 roma tomatoes, chopped
- 1 onion, minced
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons calabrian chiles (optional)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup chopped basil and parsley
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Bring a large salted pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta to al dente.
- Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel and season with the bruschetta seasoning.
- Heat the butter and oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for about 1 minute per side. Remove and set aside.
- Add the onions and salt to the skillet and saute for about 5 minutes. Add the white wine, calabrian chile and tomatoes. Saute for about 5 minutes until the tomatoes break down and the wine is reduced.
- Stir in the cream and simmer for 2 minutes until slightly thickened. Stir in the parmesan cheese. Once the pasta is cooked, add 1/4 cup of pasta water to the sauce. Add the pasta and shrimp to the sauce and toss to coat. Top with fresh herbs.
