Shallots and garlic are caramelized in butter, tossed with spaghetti and topped with crispy prosciutto for a quick and delicious dinner.
Ingredients

3 shallots, sliced

3 garlic cloves, minced

8 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

6 slices prosciutto

1 pound spaghetti

1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions

Heat oven to 400 degrees.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti to al dente.

While the pasta cooks make the sauce by melting the butter in a large skillet over medium low heat. Add the shallots, garlic, red pepper, salt and pepper and cook over medium low heat for 15 minutes.

Place the prosciutto on a sheet pan and bake for about 10 minutes until crisp. Once crisp remove from the oven and set aside.

When the spaghetti is done, drain reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water. Add the spaghetti, pasta water, and parmesan to the skillet and toss well with the butter.

Top with the crisp prosciutto.
