Garlic Dill Pickles - Olive Branch Oil & Spice

These are my favorite pickles with lots of onion, garlic and fresh dill.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sliced cucumbers (kirby or persian)
  • 3/4 cups water
  • 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pickling Mix
  • 2 tablespoons chopped white onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill

Instructions

  1. Add the onion, dill, pickling mix, garlic and cucumbers to a glass pint jar.
  2. Add the water, vinegar, sugar and salt to a small pot and bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
  3. Pour the brine in the jar. Let cool completely then cover and refrigerate.
  4. These are best the next day and keep for up to 2 months in the fridge.
