Schug (also called zhug or skug or zhoug) is a spiced green sauce originating from Yemen and used through the Middle East. Its herby, fiery deliciousness came to be known as “Magic Green Sauce” in my house.
Ingredients

1 1/2 cups cilantro leaves and stems

1 1/2 cups parsley leaves and stems

1 teaspoon ground coriander

1 teaspoon ground cumin

4 jalapenos, seeded

3 garlic cloves, smashed

1 lemon, zested and juiced

1/4 cup Koroneiki Greek Olive Oil

1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions

Toss the jalapenos, garlic, and spices in the food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Add the cilantro and parsley and pulse some more. Add the lemon juice, zest and a pinch of salt and pepper and pulse some more. With the motor running add the olive oil until completely blended.
Note: Store in the refrigerator for up to a week
