Grilled spiced chicken served with warm pita, yogurt sauce, lettuce and tomato. So good!
Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds boneless chicken breasts or thighs
- 4 cloves garlic, grated
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 3 tablespoons Shawarma Seasoning
- 1/4 cup Koroneiki Greek Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 cup greek yogurt
- 2 cups lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, sliced
- Pita or flatbread for serving
Instructions

Heat the grill to high heat.

Mix olive oil, 3 cloves garlic, Shawarma seasoning, and half the lemon juice in a small bowl. Coat over the chicken and marinade for 10 minutes (or overnight if you remember!)

Grill the chicken for 7 minutes per side until cooked through. Set aside. Add the pita to the grill for about 2 minutes per side until warmed through.

Mix the yogurt, the remaining lemon juice and 1 clove of garlic.

Slice the chicken and serve with the pita, lettuce, tomato and yogurt.
