Is there anything more comforting than tucking into to a saucy bowl of pasta? This sauce comes together quickly with our favorite Spaghetti Seasoning, but tastes like it's been simmering all day.
Ingredients
-
1 pound ground beef
- 1 yellow onion, grated
- 3 cloves garlic, grated
- 1/4 cup Spaghetti Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
-
2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons Nocellara del Belice Olive Oil
-
1 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes
-
1 pound short pasta
-
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
-
Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic, spaghetti seasoning and tomato paste and cook for 5 minutes.
-
Add the ground beef and cook until browned through, about 8 to 10 minutes.
-
Add the tomatoes, salt, pepper and 1/4 can of water.
-
Stir and simmer for about 20 minutes.
-
While the sauce is simmering, cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water. Drain the pasta, reserving 1/4 cup of cooking liquid.
-
Toss the pasta with the sauce, thinning the sauce with cooking liquid as needed.
-
Top with parmesan cheese and dig in.
