It took years to perfect the seasoning for these tacos! These classic American tacos are jazzed up with some easy queso - because everything is better with queso - but you can certainly skip the queso and top with your favorite taco toppings.
Ingredients
-
1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
-
1 garlic clove, grated
- 4 tablespoons Taco Seasoning
-
1 pound processed American cheese (Velveeta), cut into chunks
-
3/4 cup cream
-
1 can green chiles
-
Flour tortilla shells
-
1 Jalapeno, sliced
Instructions
-
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in skillet and add garlic. Cook for about 1 minute then add the ground beef.
-
Once ground beef is browned, add seasoning mix and 1/4 cup water. Mix and simmer until sauce is thickened
-
In the meantime make the queso by adding the cheese, cream and chiles into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 3 minutes, stir then microwave for another 3 minutes.
-
Heat the tortilla shells in the oven or on the stove, then add ground beef, queso and jalapeno slices (or toppings of choice) and enjoy.
