Queso Tacos

Oct 13, 2024

It took years to perfect the seasoning for these tacos! These classic American tacos are jazzed up with some easy queso - because everything is better with queso - but you can certainly skip the queso and top with your favorite taco toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, grated

  • 4 tablespoons Taco Seasoning
  • 1 pound processed American cheese (Velveeta), cut into chunks

  • 3/4 cup cream

  • 1 can green chiles

  • Flour tortilla shells

  • 1 Jalapeno, sliced

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in skillet and add garlic. Cook for about 1 minute then add the ground beef.

  2. Once ground beef is browned, add seasoning mix and 1/4 cup water. Mix and simmer until sauce is thickened

  3. In the meantime make the queso by adding the cheese, cream and chiles into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 3 minutes, stir then microwave for another 3 minutes.

  4. Heat the tortilla shells in the oven or on the stove, then add ground beef, queso and jalapeno slices (or toppings of choice) and enjoy.
