Pear and Prosciutto Pizza

This delicious pizza has the classic combination of pear, prosciutto, and gorgonzola

Ingredients

  • 1 ball pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons Rosemary Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Cranberry Pear Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 small pears, sliced
  • 6 slices prosciutto
  • 1/2 cup gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • 2 cups arugula
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 450 degrees
  2. Roll the pizza dough out to about 1/4 inch thick.  Brush 1 tablespoon rosemary olive oil over the pizza dough and sprinkle with parmesan cheese, salt and pepper.
  3. Layer the pears and prosciutto over the pizza dough and top with crumbled gorgonzola. Bake for 15 minutes until the dough is cooked through. 
  4. Add the arugula and pine nuts to a bowl and toss with 1 tablespoon rosemary olive oil and 2 tablespoons cranberry pear balsamic vinegar.  
  5. When the pizza is cooked top with the arugula, slice and enjoy!

Takes 25 minutes

Serves 4-6
