This is a super flavorful, one pan dinner, that comes together in a snap.
Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds bone in chicken (breasts, thighs or a combination)
- 1 head of savoy cabbage, sliced into wedges
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Chinese Five Spice
- 1 tablespoon chili crisp (optional)
- 2 green onions, minced
- 1 teaspoon White Sesame Seed
- 1 tablespoon Garlic Fused Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Mix the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and chinese five spice together. Place the chicken in a food storage container and rub all over with the marinade - under and over the skin. Marinate for at least 2 hours or up to overnight.
- Heat the oven to 425 degrees. Place the chicken on one side of a sheet pan or roasting pan and the cabbage on the other. Toss the cabbage with the olive oil, salt and pepper. Roast for 35-45 minutes until the chicken in cooked to an internal temp of 165 degrees.
- Spoon the chili crisp over the cabbage and top the chicken with sesame seeds and green onion.
Takes 45 minutes (plus 2 hours marinating)
