You can’t live in Minnesota without having Tater Tot Hotdish! This is slightly jazzed up with pork, mushrooms and rosemary, but doesn’t veer too far from the traditional. Such a comforting and delicious bowl!
Ingredients
-
1 pound ground beef
-
1 pound ground pork
-
1 onion, grated
-
2 cloves garlic, chopped
-
6 ounces mushrooms, chopped
-
2 teaspoons rosemary
-
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
-
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
-
1 bag frozen green beans
-
1 bag frozen tater tots
-
1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
-
hot sauce and ketchup for serving
Instructions
-
Heat oven to 375 degrees
-
Heat large ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and ground pork. Season with salt and pepper and saute until mostly cooked through. Add the onion, mushroom, Worcestershire, and rosemary. Cook until the mushrooms are tender and the excess liquid is evaporated.
-
Top the meat mixture with the cream of mushroom soup, then top that with the green beans and finally with the tater tots.
-
Transfer to the oven and bake for 40 minutes until the tater tots are golden brown and crisp. Let sit for 10 minutes before digging in. Serve with hot sauce and ketchup.
Notes: You can also transfer to a casserole dish instead of using one skillet.
