A simple teriyaki sauce brings so much flavor to stir fried beef and sugar snap peas.
Ingredients
- 1 pound flank steak, sliced thin
- 2 cups sugar snap peas
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 3 cloves garlic, grated
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup chicken stock
- 5 scallions, sliced (white and light green parts)
- 2 tablespoons Grapeseed Oil
- Rice for serving
Instructions
- Place the flank steak in a bowl and mix with 2 tablespoons soy sauce and 1 tablespoon sugar. Marinade for at least 10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl mix the chicken stock, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sugar, mirin, garlic, ginger and corn starch.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Remove the beef from the marinade and saute in the skillet for 3 minutes until brown. Remove and set aside. Add the sugar snap peas and scallions to the skillet and saute for 2 minutes. Return the beef to the skillet and add the sauce. Saute for a few minutes until the sauce is thickened.
