Buttermilk Roasted Chicken - Olive Branch Oil & Spice

 

The hardest part of this meal is to remember to soak the chicken in buttermilk overnight, but it is so worth it. The chicken is full of flavor and the crispy skin is the best!

Ingredients

  • 2 bone-in chicken breasts (or 4 bone-in thighs)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 teaspoons Northwoods Steak Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoons salt

Instructions

  1. Put chicken in large zip lock bag. Add the buttermilk, garlic, Northwoods Steak Seasoning and salt. Seal and marinate in the fridge overnight.

  2. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Take the chicken out of the marinade and place on a sheet pan. Roast in the oven for 30-40 minutes until cooked through.

Takes 40 minutes plus overnight marinade

Serves 2-4
