Garlic Bread Pizza - Olive Branch Oil & Spice

Sometimes you just need to have roasted garlic bread topped with cheese and pepperoni.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 head of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mediterranean Cyprus Flake Salt
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 ball fresh mozzarella, torn into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 425 degrees. Cut the end off the head of garlic and place on two layers of foil. Drizzle the cut end of the garlic with olive oil, then close the foil around the garlic. Roast in the oven for 30 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, add the butter then squeeze the roasted garlic from the head of garlic into the butter, add flaky salt and mix to combine.
  3. Slice the baguette in half lengthwise and then crosswise to make 4 pieces. Place the bread on a sheet pan. Slather the butter on each piece of bread.
  4. Place the bread in the oven and toast for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and layer each bread with pizza sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. Place back in the oven for 8 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.

Takes 45 minutes
