Greek Yogurt Bagels - Olive Branch Oil & Spice

We've stopped going to the bagel shop and make these instead! Just a few ingredients - Greek yogurt, flour, baking powder, salt and olive oil - makes a tasty, tender, healthy bagel.  These are a great base for your favorite flavored olive oils - I like to use Garlic or Mediterranean Medley for this recipe.

  1. Heat the oven to 375 degrees
  2. In a large bowl mix the flour, yogurt, baking powder, and salt until it just comes together. Pour the dough on a lightly floured surface and knead the dough a couple times until smooth.
  3. Divide the dough into four equal parts. Roll each into a ball and then poke a hole in the middle. Repeat with each part.
  4. Place the bagels on a parchment lined baking sheet. 
  5. Whisk the egg with a splash of water in a small bowl. Brush the egg wash over the bagels and sprinkle with Everything Bagel seasoning. 
  6. Bake for 25 minutes and let cool for a couple minutes until slicing. 

Makes 4 bagels

Takes 30 minutes
