We've stopped going to the bagel shop and make these instead! Just a few ingredients - Greek yogurt, flour, baking powder, salt and olive oil - makes a tasty, tender, healthy bagel. These are a great base for your favorite flavored olive oils - I like to use Garlic or Mediterranean Medley for this recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons Garlic Fused Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons Everything Bagel
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 375 degrees
- In a large bowl mix the flour, yogurt, baking powder, and salt until it just comes together. Pour the dough on a lightly floured surface and knead the dough a couple times until smooth.
- Divide the dough into four equal parts. Roll each into a ball and then poke a hole in the middle. Repeat with each part.
- Place the bagels on a parchment lined baking sheet.
- Whisk the egg with a splash of water in a small bowl. Brush the egg wash over the bagels and sprinkle with Everything Bagel seasoning.
- Bake for 25 minutes and let cool for a couple minutes until slicing.
Makes 4 bagels
