This is easy, delicious, and a great family activity. Puff pastry layered with pizza ingredients and baked to perfection. Brings me back to the good old days of hot pockets (but way better). Yum!
Ingredients
- 1 package puff pastry, thawed
- 1/2 cup Simple Tomato Sauce, or store bought pizza sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup pepperonis
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons Pizza Seasoning
Instructions
- Heat oven to 400 degrees.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut each piece in half (to make 2 pies)
- One side add half the sauce, pizza seasoning, cheese and pepperoni leaving about 1/2 inch of space on the edges
- Place the other pastry on top and crimp the edges down to seal the pie. Cut three slits in the top. Repeat.
- Mix the egg with a splash of water and brush the egg wash over the top of the pie. Sprinkle with salt.
- Bake for 25 minutes until golden brown.
Takes 30 minutes
