Shaking Beef Lettuce Wraps - Olive Branch Oil & Spice

Shaking Beef Lettuce Wraps

Apr 27, 2024

This Vietnamese inspired dish has tender beef marinated and stir fried with garlic and onions. I love to serve these as lettuce wraps with tomatoes and lime.

  • 2 boneless ribeyes, trimmed and cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 head butter lettuce, leaves divided
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 roma tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 lime, quartered
  • 2 tablespoons grapeseed oil

  1. Mix the garlic, sugar, soy sauce and fish sauce in a large bowl.  Add the beef and onions. Marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to overnight).
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet and add the onions and beef in a single layer (work in batches if a single layer doesn't fit).  Cook for about 4 minutes per side until the beef is seared on the outside and cooked to medium.
  3. Serve with lettuce, tomatoes and lime.

Takes 15 minutes (plus marinating time)

Makes 4 servings
