This Vietnamese inspired dish has tender beef marinated and stir fried with garlic and onions. I love to serve these as lettuce wraps with tomatoes and lime.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless ribeyes, trimmed and cut into 1 inch cubes
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoons fish sauce
- 1 head butter lettuce, leaves divided
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 3 roma tomatoes, sliced
- 1 lime, quartered
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil
Instructions
- Mix the garlic, sugar, soy sauce and fish sauce in a large bowl. Add the beef and onions. Marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to overnight).
- Heat oil in a large skillet and add the onions and beef in a single layer (work in batches if a single layer doesn't fit). Cook for about 4 minutes per side until the beef is seared on the outside and cooked to medium.
- Serve with lettuce, tomatoes and lime.
