Sichuan Broccoli - Olive Branch Oil & Spice

Sichuan Broccoli

This is a super flavorful, easy and satisfying dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 head of broccoli, chopped
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sichuan peppercorn, crushed or ground
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the sichuan, soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, honey, garlic and ginger. 
  2. Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.  Add the broccoli and onion and saute for a 5 minutes. Toss with the sauce and saute for another 5 minutes until tender.
  3. Serve over rice and enjoy!
