Stuffed Mushrooms with Boursin Cream Sauce - Olive Branch Oil & Spice

Simple stuffed mushrooms cooked in the most delicious boursin cheese sauce.

Ingredients

  • 12 baby bella mushrooms

  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs 

  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped

  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 1 teaspoon pepper

  • 3 tablespoons Garlic Fused Extra Virgin Olive Oil 

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 package boursin cheese (or another soft garlic herb cheese)

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Add the cream and boursin cheese to an ovenproof skillet and whisk to mix well. Season with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
  3. Remove the stems from the mushrooms so they can be stuffed. In a small bowl mix the breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, parsley, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper and olive oil. Add a small scoop to each mushroom and place in the skillet. 
  4. Transfer to the oven and cook for 15 minutes until the mushrooms are cooked through and the cheese sauce is bubbly.
  5. Serve as they are or with crostini
